How long are the meditation Classes?

In person group classes at recovery centers are most often 60-90 minute class with time for individual questions after.

are group classes a la carte or is there a commitment required?

There is no commitment required for in person group classes at recovery centers. We can discuss a plan to try a one off event. Offerings can also be recurring based on client needs. Reach out to Steve to find out more!

What do we do in mindfulness class?

We begin with a talk about recovery skill or topic. Then I lead the group through a meditation on cultivating the skill discussed earlier. Participants get the chance to share with their peers about their experience.

What skills practical skills will we learn?

Some of the most useful topics I love to share with groups include meditation (of course!), noticing triggers and precursers, noticing/labeling emotions, learning to self soothe in healthy ways, coping with craving, etc…
